[2023.10.12] The ADIP lab has been honored with the Best Project Award by KEPCO for their exceptional work on the project, "Source Technology Development of an Autonomous Flight System for Drone-Based Inspection of Ultrahigh Voltage Power Transmission Facilities." Munsu Jeon has also been recognized as the Best Researcher for his outstanding contributions to this project. Within the project, the ADIP lab successfully developed an object detection method known as the RoMP Transformer and a 3D mapping technique for point cloud data. Furthermore, they conducted field tests to validate the efficacy of these proposed methods, confirming their excellent performance in real-world applications (link).

[2023.09.30] The ADIP lab has been granted research funding by the Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development from the Detachment of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (US Air Force). This funding supports the project titled "Multiphysics-Informed Neural Network (MPINN) for Accurate Multidimensional Predictions of Mechatronic Systems," with a budget of $2 million allocated from September 30, 2023, to September 29, 2026. Within the scope of this project, the ADIP laboratory aims to develop a pioneering architecture for multiphysics-informed neural networks tailored to mechatronic systems. These systems encompass induction motors and permanent magnetic motors, with the ultimate goal of offering innovative design and control solutions.

[2023.08.15] ADIP lab. has received research funding from Samsung Electronics for the project titled “Physics informed neural network of a lithium-ion battery for predicting RUL and temperature ($110K, 2023.08.15-2024.08.14)”. In this project, the ADIP laboratory will develop (1) a novel architecture of physics informed neural network and (2) feature extraction methods for constructing the prognosis framework of lithium-ion battery used in mobille equipment.

[2022.03.20] ADIP lab. has received research funding from LG Electronics for the project titled “A study on AI modulation for high frequency induction brazing image ($66K, 2023.03.20-2023.11.30)”. In this project, the ADIP laboratory will develop an (1) ensemble architecture of the RoMP-Transformer to infer the state of high frequency induction brazing and (2) autolabeling method for measured optical and thermal images.  

[2022.03.10] The article entitled "A study on the finite element model of a permanent magnet synchronous motor for fault diagnosis" has been accepted in the Journal of the Korean Society for Precision Engineering. Congrats Hyunseung!!!

[2022.01.16] ADIP lab. has received research funding from the KEPRO Research Institute for the project titled “Development of intelligent inspection system for power transmission facilities ($1,328,823K, 2023.01.18-2024.09.17)”. In this project, the ADIP laboratory will develop several inspection systems equipped in the autonomous flight drone by fusing novel sensors and AI".
